look, I love 2000s-2010s internet too, there's a reason I joined this site but
I saw a blog about how spacehey is ruined by tik tok users, which I understand to an extent but complaining about how jokes and emojis from other platforms are on here too is so unnecessary
I discovered spacehey on youtube around 2-3 years ago and joined cuz I thought it looked cool and also wanted a myspace-like profile
but now I just use it as a "normal" social media platform because it is just a social media platform at the end of the day 🤷🏻🤷🏻
if you wanna roleplay 2006 and make it your entire personality instead of just being yourself and enjoying old media then go ahead but don't complain about others who don't lmao a blog site isn't that serious

ALSO ! in my experience, even in the early 2000-10's, it was about 50/50% of people online who were still using HTML and emoticons, and people who were really embracing the new social media culture and emojis. i think both types of people equally contribute to the niche vibe of the internet. i distinctly remember my sister being into the 'new-age' saturated filters and instagram captions filled with emojis + hashtags, while i was obsessed with cringey anime roleplaying and intricate emoticon designs (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ*.ﾟ online, we all fam

No I agree, people need to accept that the 2000s weren't entirely different from the 2020s... people still crack up old memes all the time.
think of it as this:
Instagram + TikTok = old YouTube + blog/vlog websites.
people used to, and still do, share their opinions and jokes with the world.
People weren't spamming "RAWR XD LMAO" 24/7, they talked regularly with the occasional ':)/:(' or a 'lol' thrown at the end of a sentence. And guess what? We still do, we as a society won't move on from certain things for a long time.
So just enjoy your life and do what you want, dress how you want, play on whatever gaming console you wanna use. It doesn't HAVE to be the 2000s for you to use emoticons and flip phones, they're still making flip phones right now too. It's not that serious bro.

he is basically a guy that like ragebaits and stuff he commented smth like "you should also add people who dont care" under my dni post and when i said something back he just started saying nonsense and overall he is just sensitive as heck. he also whines about tiktok users "ruining" ts site like im sorry bro not everyone on here wants to roleplay as a depressed teen on myspace in the 2000s. litearlly have nothing more to say since idk much about him bc i blocked him but maybe i should unblock him just to see what he posts lol

I think it's more about how people have become more mental on popular social media sites/apps and the sane ones are trying to escape from that. Nowhere will really feel like the good old days 100% anymore, but there really is a point where you do have to call out on foolishness if things get too mental and annoying.
