"prices switch" - 3.5/5

like this one a lot!! the screams are so nice... i like the switch up of the vibe towards the bridge. we go from loud screaming to ethereal ass sounds.

"hand control" - 4.0/5

guitar sounds wonderful. huge fan of the intro. the screams this guy makes really remind me of the fall of troy, which is great bc i fucking love the fall of troy. and again with that beautiful beat switch to this whimsical shit...in love.

"sugarberry" - 3.0/5

it's basically like a drum solo with a bunch of random ass noises?? i lowk dig it ngl

"he is not a bird" - 5.0/5

guitar is beautiful once again!! peakkkk love this one so muchhhh oh my lord its so??? wonderful beautiful yesyesyeys

"the moore we see" - 4.0/5

love the overlapping vocals. i honestly dont have a lot to say about this one other than i enjoy it #^^

"intro to obsession" - 3.5/5

the intro (to obsession) is super interesting and cool. this one doesnt have screaming unfortunately :( it's still a nice track but i like screaming a lot

"clean to sweep" - 4.5/5

i wasnt super into it until the clean vocals came in and then i fell in love. my fav part of post hardcore is both the screams and clean vocals together. when it's just one or the other it's not really post hardcore anymore its just pure screaming or just singing. which isnt a bad thing btw, i just really like all the elements. i could go on for a while about all the details of post hardcore but that would make this blog have 8 more paragraphs so...yeah. long story short post hardcore is cool

"there were people with morals" - 3.0/5

uhmm im not sure why i don't really feel much for this track?? idk it's not like boring at all but i just don't really feel any certain way about it. it's nice, its good, but it just doesn't do anything super cool for me.

this was a great listen! i enjoyed it :) i will say that none of these songs really stand out to me that much. GunsLikeGirls doesn't really have their own...thing, i guess? obviously they are creative and very talented but this EP doesn't strike me as anything super unique on it's own. i definitely think if GunsLikeGirls made more music we'd be able to get a grasp on more of what their niche would be or certain things about their production and vocal styles would be like. i will say i loved the lead guitar on all the tracks that had them. (sugarberry is literally just a bunch of random sounds im not kidding) still a fun listen no matter what!! solid 4.0/5 ^^
