cool things ive been up 2 (kandi + crochet !! this is kinda long)

I just realized i've been offline for so long...oopsie daisies
ANYWAYS! here's what i've been doin :)

(beware the lighting highkey kinda sucks i tried + i think my formatting is weird to some ppl)

the main thing is this mushroom drawstring bag !!! im crocheting this for 1 of my good friends birthday !! im sure she'll like it :33

she loves mushrooms, and as a fellow woman in pain, i've included many pockets. I mean MANY. like, number 1, there's a big space in the middle for main items such as a phone and wallet. then number 2, there's 2 big pockets on the side for random thingies. number 3, there's also 3 little slits for her to store pens or pencils in (bc she's an artist). number 4, on the outside, the big spots actually function as mini circular pockets!! like if you wanna hide a bracelet, ring, or maybe have a trinket sitting out the big mushroom :)) AND all the pockets r mainly all in the inside of the bag so NOTHING can get stolen without a fight :3 (if u can tell im rlly proud of this bag)

rahhh its still in progress, i wanna make it a crossbody bag and i want the spots on the mushroom to be sorta realistic, so..yeah that might take a while >^<

this is the pattern i used for the base !!! i changed things a little and freestyled the pockets, spots, and the drawstring. if any1s curious the drawstring is just a crochet i-cord with 3 chains, and to make the super tiny spots i literally just chained three and slip stitched into the first chain to make a super mini circle (i also used a finer yarn so that's why i was able to make them super tiny)

obviously, another thing i've been working on is kandi !!! X33 (heart emoji i love making kandi singles)

i recently went bead shopping (yayy !! :DD) and bought a pack of these cool sparkly heart beads (for 50% off!!! :OO) and i thought, "wow. these look super edible and sparkly and shiny and amazing, just like candy." so, what did i do? made candy and sugar inspired kandi singles of course !!! (candy kandi if i may :33) 

i love how they turned out, they're so cute >< !!! 

guess what? there's more !!! more kandiiii !!! XDD

soooo....i recently took it upon myself to ATTEMPT to make a rotator cuff...for the first time. i know, past mel, what were you thinking?!?!??

i kinda (highkey) fucked myself over and made it more complicated with a veeeeery random and complex color scheme bc i reeeeaaaaallly wanted to make it based off of C.A cupid and how she's in both monster high and ever after high (I AM IN LOVE WITH BOTH THESE SERIES). i uh tried to make the top of the rotator ever after high based, with like lighter pinks and pearls and stuff, my plans were to have gold chains hanging down to make it look kind of angelic heaven-y and stuffz. 

the bottom part was going to be monster high themed and you can very clearly see the eye bead in the middle, i hand painted that (took so long bc i suck at painting lolz) the color scheme was obviously gonna be darker with dark jewels and eyes (im gonna stick on googly eyes later to make it more 'monster-y.). like the ever after high 1, i was gonna put more chains hanging from the side, but this time silver !! (woah who could've seen it coming)

i also made some wings, they're kinda a mashup of the wings she had in both shows. the pearls and angelic-ness from ever after high and the kind of skeletal structure from monster high (it doesnt look great i know T^T)

i dunno why i made this complicated ahh thing my first ever kandi rotator, but idk i kinda like making things complicated for myself. :3

that concludes my art blog and explains allllll that i was doing the like, uh, 2 weeks i was offline. yeah. 2 whole weeks. some1 be proud of me for not having fomo as a minor on the internet.

anyways, to reward u for even looking at this, here's a picture of my L nendroid!!!  (that i bought for waaaay too cheap and was proooobably 100% offbrand but i doooont really care bc i love him)
