Devil may cry netflix anime
A good anime or just poser trash?
In reality, I consider the anime to be a decent attempt to revive the saga. It was an anime that truly appealed to other audiences and achieved its goal, which was to make people connect with the saga, its story, and the characters.

The downside? An anime that promised to be for fans and ended up being just another Netflix series. I don't consider it a bad adaptation. If you turn off your fan brain for a moment and don't try to figure out how to connect the anime to the other video games, I consider it enjoyable, including the fact that they showed an even dumber Dante, which was obvious due to his youth (assuming what Adi Shankar said, that the anime was set before the third game).
Enzo's de4th is the only detail worth highlighting that was stupid, a reason for the protagonist to activate his Devil Trigger? Literally throwing yourself to your de4th when you could have literally stayed out of the fight, or help from afar.
Lady's attitude? It was reminiscent of the attitude she had at the beginning of the 3rd game, but I think they took it to another level, like, dude, I know you need to get 3 seasons out like Squid Game, but have more characters that can have development instead of leaving Lady as a flat character after of witnessing his companions di3?-

Remembering that this is a saga that still needs to be resolved and that sometimes contradicts itself, it was a case like DMC reboot, a good story that did not quite adapt to the fictional world that we already know from Devil May Cry.
People should calm down a bit, there is still a lot of story left for Devil May Cry, considering that the anime was a success, maybe we can expect things more rooted in the original story once Capcom is happy with the money it earns.
omg first blog :D

I know I'm late to this convo, but I feel like people forget that it's an adaptation, not an exact replica of canon events. While the DMC lore itself works as a franchise, the timeline of events in the games doesn't translate well over to a show, which makes sense as to the plotline in the show. I genuinely think if Lady's character hadn't been so badly messed up and they'd kept the exact same voice actors as in the games, it wouldn't be hated so much. That's just my opinion tho :P
