• Goth: gothic rock, post-punk, dark wave, cold wave, 
• Emo: post-hardcore, 2000s emo, screamo/skramz, myspace-adjacent
• Metal: industrial, black metal, doom, anything woman-fronted
• Others: post-rock, shoegaze, synth pop, horny divorced dad rock

• Religious imagery: sacred hearts, crosses, churches and stained glass
• Medieval art and motifs
• Ars medica; both scientifically accurate and grotesque
