finally decided to go ahead and tell a couple of people to call me by a different name. A name I've kinda called myself for a while, which is Jack. I got the name cuz of handsome jack (bl2). The day after telling people, I read up on some soviet era underground rock bands; one of them being ΠΊΠΈΠ½ΠΎ (kino). The leads' name was Viktor Tsoi, his lyrics were very influential to the youth of Russia and definitely helped the soviet era end in a way. Their music also helped fairly recently in Bulgaria with some protests. He died at 28 from a car accident, leaving some people do actually commit suicide when they found out. I could probably do a whole lesson on this XD.Β
So of course now I'm thinking about going by Viktor instead of Jack but I love both names SO much. So outside of be JUST telling people to call me Jack instead of Jennifer, now I have to decide if I'm even <i>worthy</i> of taking the name Viktor for myself.Β Β
I didn't think the hardest part of being trans would be deciding the name >:[.Β

i like the idea of using both. also agree no such thing as being "worthy" of a name. hope you land on something that you like :)

why not both??? where I live, people usually have 2 names. both is good :D
is it like 2 first names? or people call each other by their middle names a lot?

Yeah, first name #1 and #2! And you can even pick, if you have both officially displayed on your ID. And online? I think online you have even more freedom.
