because it SUCKS. i'm gonna mow through the links at the top of the page, see where we end up.
why are browse and search separate links? they're both for browsing users, why are they both there? of course, i know how uBlock works, i can just remove Search(because even in Browse, there's still the same searchbar at the top), but it's just stupid.
IMs are cool- as well as a basic/mandatory feature of every website, except maybe Scratch. Plus, it don't work good. if you message a user once, they're on the list FOREVER(unless they delete their account), "organizing" by favorites is annoying, and sometimes, you just don't get the notifications.
Blogs are the popular part of spacehey- you can talk about your outfit, stance on religion, rebuke someone's stance on religion, rebuke the rebuke, talk about pedophiles and masturbation, and complain about spacehey. you can also do other things, but nobody'll read it. so boo. and since people only tend to read blogs they already agree with, most comments tend to be pointless. thanks, guys.
forums are cool, but who uses them? you don't even get notifications when people reply, you gotta set up an RSS client and insert the feed there. that's why the top forum posts have been the same since 15 million years ago, they're the only ones you see without sorting by new. i love forums, but dear god they deserve better.
groups suffer from the same problem, actually- the generic view is "top groups", which have been the same since the site's inception, so all they get is new users making useless bulletins that die within 10 days. at least you get notifications for your posts. also, because you gotta use a searchbar to look for specific groups, there's about 17 different groups for everything that isn't on the top section, each with 5 inactive users total.
layouts is dead and it ain't coming back. may as well have died long ago, because once again, it's a "page-1-is-the-only-page-I-know-how-to-find" fiasco. So many new users will have the same page 1-2 layouts(before leaving)... and the ones who actually know how html works know how to make a better website.
favorites... is ok. you can add anyone to your favorites, and it moves them to a "favs" section of your IMs. they also get access to exclusive blogs, but its main use is organizing IMs. (side note- do users get notified when they're added to favorites? because if not, it comes off more as a stalky page.)
invite's there, if you don't know how COPYING A LINK works.
app's there, if you don't know how searchbars work. but because this is spacehey, i'm not surprised.
shop's there, if you feel spacehey deserves your money. or if you wanna feel morally superior to your friends by putting a sphy sticker on your laptop. you probably do, because 90% of the people here HATE TIKTOK WITH A BURNING PASSION. before going back a week later.
what's left... bulletins? they're good, no complaints. a private message between friends, removed in 1-10 days. it appears on the homepage, and you even get notifications! wow! imagine if the whole website worked like this.
the homepage itself is ok- you see some basic info, some links, and recent bulletins/subscribed blogs. it's good, but if we're not getting notifications anytime soon, i'd at least like to see this expanded upon. subscribed forums? groups you're in? anything, really?
i guess, in short, the reason sphy sucks is because it relies on users to navigate it instead of being spoonfed such DELICACIES like working notifications. and An's right for this. if you're not willing to waste your time going through multiple pages just to see new forums/blogs/groups rather than the algorithmic BS at the top of the charts, you don't deserve this website. i should know- i spent $800 on merch. this is MY website, you're just too poor to enjoy it.
