It's been I think, if my memory isn't failing me, two weeks since I've written an entry here. Instagram and similar platforms have been keeping me so distracted that I didn't bother writing anything here for a while. But well, I'm trying to try being active in Spacehey. Because honestly, fuck any social media platform that has algorithm to "recommend" me stuff I might be interested in. It's more like searching for ways to keep me scrolling.
But it's not all bad - I've actually done some remarkable progress on my video game! I've been wanting to start making maps for the story, and I actually managed to finish the first! (even though it isn't too detailed, it should get the job done for now)
And of course, there is also other things I have to worry about, like saving your progress, transitioning between maps, bla bla... It's kind of my fault that I didn't start with a game engine like Godot, but y'know, as painful as it is sometimes, making your game without a game engine is kind of fun. Even though I use a high-level framework that takes care of most things like audio and graphics, it's nice to have a grasp on how most of your game works.
Maybe I'll start showcasing my game here as well? Some screenshots? The version I'm working on has a long way until release, so I don't really want to share it too much.
Anyway, I wrote a lot, so bye for now! Will read around 15 pages before I go to sleep.
