TW: Animal death
I visited my dog's grave for the first time today. Her passing was about a year and a half ago, and she died at the age of one.
Hey Tessie. I miss you. I still think of you. Dad cut some of your long golden fur and hung it on a cork board in the garage. Its the summer and dad spends almost all his day in the garage, so a part of you will be able to see him, hopefully. Sometimes I stroke it as if it was one of those regular nights where we would both lay on the cold floor of our bedroom and I could see the fur on your back rising and sinking as you sleep. You were a wonderful friend. The best friend I ever had. I hope you're doing well in doggie paradise. I don't think or hope to believe in any human paradise, but a place where all the dogs could go and live a good life for their whole second life would be quite sick. Yeah, I like to think about that. Bet you would be eating a lot of yoghurt up there. I know you love that stuff.
See you in the next life.

Losing a pet is hard. I was fortunate enough to know when my dog was going to pass, so we spent her last few days together. I remember resting upon a couch in my living room, just a few feet away from her I could hear her breathe. It become more labored as the days went by, and it only began feeling heavier thereafter. I can still see her there, lying undisturbed sometimes. Surreally, her eyes would follow me, faded by gray. Sorry to hear about your loss.
Thank you. I'm glad that you were able to know the time of your pet's passing though it's always hard to endure it.
