SonySkulls Catalog of Amnesia : Re-introduction into my artistry : A.S Entry #0

If you have read my profile, you would know that I'm an artist. Artist in the animation and film sector of creation. I thought I'd do a proper introduction of my art persona? Identity? what I go by as an artist since "Sonyskulls" is more of my personal blog name and i want to keep them distinct.

Szia, Hi I'm AmnesiaSkulls and I do art as a passion and am planning on going into the film sector and animation world with my hopefully passion project so far called "Rockridge". It's something I've been working on for a long time as of 7 or so years since 2018. 

What started out as a distraction from my busy life at the time became me finding myself through the art I made and dedicating full commitment to this in 11th grade when given to choice of this or working as an environmental sciences journalist. I know this sounds like a whole load of crap, but I feel the need to fully introduce myself again into the art space as not having truly posted consistently since 2021. But back to what I saying, I had to pick since I couldn't do both and I chose art. 

I've posted online way back in the late 2010s and was apart of the object show community. I had a small presence back then, but nothing too big. Shifted my whole art presence away from OS's in 2020 and into more human design as my whole story concept changed. Got the courage to post on tiktok in late 2021 and I was viral for like 2 months. It was a really weird time getting all the recognition, but it became overwhelming when i felt the pressure and then i stopped for 5 months came back and the account was basically dead. Tried to post again throughout, but never fully committing.

I had a breakthrough on instagram which is something I never thought I would experience and got bullied for my artstyle at the time and didn't end well. It's still my main account for art, but it really made me distance myself from social media. 

I come back again with a fresh start and having recently got back into drawing after some time. I want to get back into posting and building my page again. I want to succeed and not be scared of what people online will think. It feels like in this age, as an artist u need to be online and build that Prescence to get anything from commissions or get recognized and build your creative brand. So I must take advantage of the fact that I've broken through before and I must break through again and this time not slip. I'm going to try to discipline myself and commit to it because I must break free. So I can live.

AmnesiaSkulls is the work of Sonyskulls artistic endeavors!

!!!! Sonyskulls Catalog of Amnesia !!!!!

Here are some recent practice sketches I did as a warmup to get back into the gyst of things. Its not much but I will dedicate myself to drawing something everyday!!

Did male and female somewhat "anatomy" adjacent practice. I just doodled like whatever and added some of my ocs into them. Yes I think us dudes need to to wear low-rise more often.

I lowkey struggle on female anatomy and idk why. I think its a bit off in the torso area, but yea. My dear Rosearia is in this and she looks good! You can probs tell I and very into 2000s if my profile was a hint.

Its currently like middle of the night while making this since I got so distracted drawing for like 6 hours straight and forgot I have to like sleep and shit. 
This is my re-introduction and mainly doing this so I can have that fresh start and feel like I've solidified a goal that I want to continue. This applies to my art and my personal life too.

As for what my little Project Rockridge, it's still in its writing phase and storybuilding. The foundation is almost there, but lots of revisions before anything to concrete and major happens. 

What I will say about it is that its mid-late 2000s inspired, has a grim edgy 2000s horror element, draws from psychological horror and eldritch horror and is very character driven.
The whole thing is very heavily inspired by a particular era in media I call the edgy era of the mid 2000s till early 2010s, like 2006-2012/13. I take a lot of my inspo for my artstyle and tone for the story from Amnesia Dark Descent. Also as a bonus, Silent hill 2006 is big inspo in its filmography and production.
