i don't know, she wouldn't say

memories blight all their successors, i have so much to tell you, don't i? undocumented praises remain on the tip of my tongue, i can't bear to swallow the truth about us, can i? my diary disenchanted with listening to all the little nitpicks and needles in haystacks, so you listened to me instead, didn't you? you said you'd love to, you said you love it, didn't you? everyone asked about you, maybe things run better in secret, don't they? didn't they? you promised me, didn't you? i thought you said you'd stay, didn't you?

our month-old memories slip my mind as i slide down the spiral of self destructive obsession, what i call caring. but you did care.

didn't you?
