SOME visual kei bands I highly recommend!

I am new to the scene myself so I will be listing some good beginner vkei bands! (These are super popular.)

Of course, we're starting off with Malice Mizer! Songs I recommend are Le Ciel, Aegen, Gekka No Yasoukyouku, Baroque, Ma Cherie, and illuminati. So many more songs that are amazing. I personally love The Vault Of Heaven/Egee Kai Ni Sasagu. Their visuals are GORGEOUS.

If you like Malice Mizer... I believe you'll love Kozi and Gackt. My fav right now is Kaikou by Kozi. It's on Spotify now and on YouTube. By Gackt, I love U+K. That song is gorgeous.

Number 2... BUCK-TICK! The first song I heard was Dress. Other amazing songs I found that are deep in my mind are Speed, Victims Of Love, Love Me, Romance, and Jupiter! We miss you Atsushi!

Number 3. In my opinion I love all these bands equally. But, Shazna feels so underrated. Like that band deserves the entire worlds love and attention... (Rebelling against societal norms will always be political. So vkei like every other subculture is political! And I love that.) Shazna in the PV for Magenta Story covered taboo subjects it felt... Their entire discography was AWESOME. Every single song is great! My top songs are Magenta Story, Romance, Dear Love, C'est La Vie, Sumire September Love, and more.

Number 4. An Cafe has some BANGERS! Ryusei Rocket is such a great song! They have more but, their visuals are also, cool oshare Kei style. (Please comment if I am getting this wrong or correctly! I am still new so is it called substyle or style? Edit: I think they are called subgenres like cosplay kei, kirakira kei, etc...) There are so many styles in Japanese music it's crazy. Like everything is already done it feels like. I found a whole wiki of subcultures that I was reading every night looking at different fashion. The styles are so pretty! I couldn't stop reading. I also, googled after each name (It's good to have a list). I still feel not ready yet to discuss all these because you can learn and cover so much information. (Sorry I was starting to talk about other subcultures that I find cool like yamikawaii, etc... But, same with vkei there are lots of different "styles" and more than just kote kei. It gets deeper.)

But, I know that vkei has like a whole site called vk.gy and it's cool to get news and information if you're also, a beginner to the subculture and want to learn about bands. The reason I want to share this much info is because I want bands to become popular so they stop disbanding... I know this won't stop them from disappearing but, it doesn't hurt to try to get more fans into the subculture. This is just a little guide to help others who genuinely want to start their journey which is why I am pushing the popular bands and not the smaller ones just yet. If you start with popular stuff, it'll help you find the smaller.

Number 5. Dadaroma... I have been listening to a lot of their music lately like songs HOTARU are just... SO GOOD. Day by day, Watashiwa bangyajanaiwa, and risley circus are all ART. The lead singer is in other bands now and I recommend searching them up too! Fukuro for example is another band he's in.

So many more bands/artists like LAREINE, Plastic Tree, Femme Fatale, Kaya. LUNA SEA, MEJIBRAY, The Gazette, DIR EN GREY, gulu gulu, deadman, NIGHTMARE, Jiluka, SID, and Heidi. All these bands have said or were vkei before.
