I’m a really lazy person.
I will sit on my behind all day, scrolling through anything that’ll give me a fix annd ignore things that need to be done. like basic hygiene or cleaning or work for my FUTURE! I should have been doing SAT prep this summer but I wanted it all rotting in bed.
I wanted to do it so badly. I wanted to be productive and do my hobbies. I hate being a useless couch potato while everyone around me is moving forward. I hate it. I’m so ambitious but I can’t make myself do anything. No matter what I can’t develop any discipline. Nothing gets me up. And the thing is I don’t try hard enough, I hate being uncomfortable no matter the outcome.
What do I do? How do I actually change? Do it anyway? I can’t. If I’m uncomfortable or bored it’s impossible. And when I have to pick proffered out no progress, I turn away and pick the easy route instead. The last one.
If I try to fast, I’m eating the very next hour because I got a little hungry. Like yeah that’s the point :,)
I don’t know what to do, how to fix it. I know it’s mainly my phones fault and I’m trying to fix that, but what else? Because I find any way to be on my phone and it’s draining. I want to stop.

Hi! I actually struggle with similar things, and I have a few tips that have helped me out:
+A flip phone/removing unnecessary apps from your phone - a flip phone makes it wayyyy harder to access distractions, and makes you more present in the moment (typing is difficult so you have to think about it, music has to be transferred over in mp3 form from another device, ect...)
+The 10 minute 5 minute rule - pretty much work for 10 minutes, and then do something else that you want to do for 5 minutes (I find that setting alarms helps a heap).
+Body doubling! - You have someone else in the room/area that you are doing work (it's someone to talk to, keep you distracted from thinking of other distractions, and maybe they could be doing their hobby while you do yours).
Hope this helps! :3
Thank you! Yes I’ve been thinking of a flip phone for a long time now

scheduling and accountability. i know its cliche, but the way to get things done is to start. pick a project and want to show it to someone. easier said then done; even i have my own hiccups.
something you only realize when you're older: things seemed easier when we were in school. that's bcuz we were forced into a rhythm: getting ready, going to class, different subject each period, do homework, test on knowledge, hand in assignments.
we don't have that structure once we're older. it's whatever we decide; usually to be free. but when we're young we wanna be grown; when we're grown we wanna be young lol.
it also forced us to be around other kids; now the easiest place to find people is a bar, which isn't the most ideal.
for scheduling, just spend 30 min working on something a day. even if it's not much, you need to condition yourself to be consistent.
as for distractions, you need to replace bad behaviors with a better one. whenever you feel the pull of "a:" something you wanna change, do "b" instead; something you wanna do. overtime, you'll be more comfortable and prefer "b." i've done this with eating and exercise.
as for accountability, you need to tell someone: i did what i said i would. even if you just write about it here. these are just some tips of mine. it's still up to us to follow through. no one will judge you too hard but yourself. most ppl want to see you do better, always.
accountability is what I struggle with :/. and since I struggle, following schedules is hard to. I like to be flexible with my time.
