𝜗ৎ nightmare i had

it sucks that i don't remember all of the details to a t, but i'm gonna try and detail the nightmare i had last night the best i can. 

i was visiting my great aunt and great grandma who live in florida. the house i was at looked more like my old house than theirs, but i know my dreams aren't always location accurate. i remember the dream being pretty chill up until it was time to go.

i wanted to say goodbye to my great aunt and great grandma, but i could not find them. not in the house. not outside, either. i got this eerie feeling standing at the end of their driveway, wondering where they went. it was like they had vanished. then everything switched. 

suddenly, my world did a 180 and it was like i was in a video game. think of yourself as a video game character and you are being instructed to complete a task. that's what it was like. i'm standing outside and an instruction to find a new owner pops up. as in, a new owner of my great aunt and great grandma's house. flashes of black and white blind me, and then i don't remember much else. 

what i do remember is this, and this is the part that scared me the most; after i had apparently found a new owner, another direction popped up. "let the new owner scare you." it may not sound like the most terrifying thing, but i am not fond of anything scary. i do not like jump scares, i do not like urban legends, i do not like those terrifying images of shit like the boiled one. it upsets me. 

so, i'm pressing all over my body like i am the controller, trying to exit the game that my life had been turned into. i believe i pressed a spot on my neck, and a message popped up. i felt relieved at first, but then i read the words. "you were asked to do something." it was like when you tried to exit a video game, but there was no option to actually exit. 

what unsettles me the most is that i could feel myself trying to pry my eyes open and escape my dream, but i could not. my body was doing everything it could to wake me up, but whatever was instructing me had its claws in me. 

this is now the second dream i have had about something following/haunting me and i'm a little concerned. i just hope it doesn't happen again.
