she is fukuhiro-san (ふく紘) of shigemori okiya (しげ森) in miyagawachō !!!
- in case you didn't know, she's playing the famous female samurai tomoe gozen, which is the jidai matsuri's most coveted role! it's usually awarded to one of the most prominent and skilled geiko of the participating districts (two of kyōto's five geimaiko districts participate- the districts rotate yearly), or, in miyagawachō's case, a geiko who has recently achieved the status of jimae (independence from her okiya).
here are some other images of her :-) I'm super happy to report that she appears to be an active geiko! having debuted in 2006, she's been a geimaiko for almost 20 years! I wish for her career to continue with longevity, joy, and prosperity ♡

I'm really happy you managed to find her and get news about her! It's nice to know that she's still active to this day, she's very elegant and beautiful. ₊ ⊹₊ ⊹

the design of her kimono is so enchanting... i love how beautiful the pattern of the waves is

I suspect that her erikae would've taken place in july- the summers are so hot that cooling motifs like waves are featured on kimono to help the wearer/their observers feel cooler!
I'm thinking about updating this blog post occasionally as I find more interesting photos of her 🎶

cool! i've been wondering about your icon. are there any videos of her (or another performer) in that role?recently i have been getting (mostly) chinese opera and (some) geiko videos on tiktok and they have piqued my curiosity...
ooh! I'll have to do some research and get back to you on that. in the meantime, I know that there are many well-documented videos of the jidai matsuri procession on youtube! I can't say that I've watched them all, but I found this video to be helpfully detailed:
