Local Macross Fan Driven to Tears by Misinformed Tiktokers With New Nyan-Nyan Trend

Alright so this has been something that has bothered me like crazy for, like, YEARS now.

So alright, I like Macross. Macross was an anime popular like decades ago and people don't talk much about it now due to all sorts of copyright nonsense and such so the fandom is dead as fuck. Anyway, that's all besides the point.

I open Tiktok like a month ago, right? See a cute little animation meme (trend, whatever y'all call it now), and it has audio that is a remix of Ranka Lee from Macross: Frontier singing the jingle for an ad she did as a quick gig, I thought it was cute. I look at the comments and tell me why people are coming up with fucking nonsense stories about the origins of the Nyan-Nyan dance.

"Did you know? This audio actually comes from a real life Chinese restaurant ad!" NO!!! YOU ARE WRONG!!!

AND WHAT'S WORSE IS THAT THIS HAS BECOME COMMON KNOWLEDGE??? ARE YOU PEOPLE UNABLE TO CONJURE ORIGINAL THOUGHTS??? YOU'RE WRONG!!! YOU ARE ALL WRONG!!! THIS IS BLASPHEMY!!!

Insanity aside though, if you are reading this and didn't know: the clip used in the Nyan-Nyan dance animation meme trend, or as some of you who are older or into MLP back in the 2010's might know, the Derpy Hooves Nyan-Nyan animation, originates from the anime Macross: Frontier. In Macross: Frontier, the character Ranka Lee does some paid work to sing for a Chinese restaurant ad. She has this whole arc around trying to become a singer and she starts off by doing advertising. Eventually she shows a friend of hers, Alto, the little dance she did for the Chinese restaurant ad. That's where the audio came from for the most part, at least in the Derpy Hooves animation.

Now, I understand where people would be confused about this being from a 'real ad', but what REALLY gets me is that some people pretend to know the whole story about this fake ass lie about this being a real life advertisement for a Chinese restaurant in Japan. You know, If I didn't know any better I'd be stupid enough to believe these internet-history fucking founding fathers on the app known for its facts Tiktok, but a key detail these fuckers are missing is the word used at the end of the main clip: Gorgeous, Delicious, Deculture.

DECULTURE IS A MACROSS TERM. YOU DUNCES!!! IF YOU DID A GOOGLE SEARCH YOU'D IMMEDIATELY PUT THAT THOUGHT INTO THE RIGHT HOLE IN YOUR SHAPE SORTER BRAIN.

But yeah anyway I have real life problems and stuff but hey this is the internet and I have autism I felt I had the right to yell. Rant over. Maybe if I get pissy enough I'll actually go on Tiktok and make a video using this as the script. Peace.
