i hate snapchat.
it’s just pictures of people’s foreheads and half-faces and random blurry lights with the word “streaks” on it like that means something.
like cool, thanks for sending me a pixelated wall and reminding me that we don’t actually talk.
it’s weird.
everyone’s online but no one’s really saying anything.
you get a “😊” and then nothing for 12 hours and somehow you’re supposed to feel connected.
i miss real conversations.
like actual “hey, are you okay?” kind of stuff.
not filters and fire emojis and pretending that silence doesn’t mean anything.
i left someone on delivered for 3 days and they still kept sending selfies with dog ears.
like.
what are we even doing anymore.
i’d rather get a weird long email. or a letter.
even a badly written poem.
just something that says “i thought about you,” not “i remembered to tap my screen.”
maybe that’s dramatic. idk.
i just want to feel real to someone.

i deleted snapchat for many reasons and this is one of them:// literally same with tiktok it's all just streaks and dumb shit infact one of my friends blocked me for a month over a STREAK " streaks " piss me off so much and sometimes people threaten to kill me over them?? Even if it's as a joke it's js not funny

This stuff is why I never cared about snapchat, it's all just some bullshit game. Hardly anything good ever comes out of using it. It's to the point where if people ask me if I have snapchat I immediately begin to think differently about them. Like, man, just fucking ask me for my number. At least if you have my number maybe you'll actually hit me up for something important instead of treating me like a number?
