Helloooooo so i thought that movies was a great topic to start my blog because im the #1 movie lover and i basically live on Letterboxd.
My friends ALWAYS ask me what movie should they watch depending on their mood so i decided to suggest diferent ones depending on the state of mind that you may have:
- for lost loves & right person wrong time... past lives (2023) by celine song: i'm not a huge fan of love movies but this one is too perfect. I usually don't cry with films but this one hits different. I won't explain what it's about so just GO AND WHAT ITTTT 10/10
- for a random movie to watch at night... after hours (1985) by martin scorsese: my dad decided to watch this movie again because he thought that i would love it and, well, he was damn right. I would describe the whole film with "you can't know my next movement" and it feels like you are in the streets at night of nyc with the protagonist.
- for the need of a visually pretty movie... the florida project (2017) by sean baker: this movie is about a six year old girl who is enjoying her summer with her cute friends while her mother struggles with, you know, life and rent. This movie is just the perfect representation of girlhood and it's just so well made - the photography, the acting, the editing... just wow (disclaimer: you might end up crying like a baby)
- for laughing... look who's talking (1989) by amy heckerling: this movie is so silly and entretaining so it's perfect to watch when you don't really want to put effort on watching sum and john travolta it's on it sooooo hahaha
- for a scary night... the visit (2015) by m. night shyamalan: my bestie has watched a loooot of scary movies but nothing slaps more than this one. Also, all my friend group decided to watch it at night on my birthday so it's a core memory for us (highly recommended for watching with friends because the granny on the film is so funny sometimes)
