This week

The past two weeks have been absolute doo-doo... It doesn't help that I'm on my period. I believe it's been making me extra emotional. I don't want to address all the things that have happened... I, like, don't have the willpower to give a sanctioned account. As usual.

I will say things have been looking up for my mom. She'd been ignoring and snippy with me since about last Wednesday. After a highly emotional conversation two days ago we've been on good terms. Doing the things we usually do together. Yesterday, she met a man through Facebook dating and had a long phone convo with him last night. He was supposed to call her at ten in the morning, yet he didn't and if there's one thing she hates, it's people who don't keep up with their words. We were supposed to meet him at a local flea market today but that's not gonna happen. We're still going to head to the flea market, though :P

I'm someone who has always had irregular periods. My mom used to have the same problem. It caused me a great strain of turmoil when I was younger. When I was 15-17, I used to have it BAD with body dysmorphia. SO BAD. My lack of a consistent menstrual cycle made me feel like less of a female. I mean, women are just expected to have periods and shit. Now I'm nineteen and I like my body. It's hard to believe I was so harsh on myself :P So for people who may be experiencing similar problems, especially younger ones, just know it gets better.

The last time I had my period semi-fully was in February. I did have it for a day or two a few months later. My current cycle is the longest one I can remember having in a long time. I got cramps the night before it began but other than that, it's been a smooth sail physically. Mentally, though... Not so much. I hope to get these periods more often. If I could choose to have them monthly, I WOULD!!! It may sound crazy to say. I suppose my thoughts aren't easily understandable to those who don't share similar experiences. Idk

People have periods and it shouldn't be a taboo thing, y'know? I hadn't written in a while so why not post about how it's been goin.'
