It's insane to see places that used to have so much personality slowly contort into unrecognizable husks of what they used to be. Whether it be to remain relevant or to broaden their target audience, it still feels like these places are, piece by piece, trading in their individuality for beige walls, bright lights, and generic fonts.

i agree! i wish i knew why they did it tbh because as a kid I remember always wanting to go to the stores that looked cool and interesting from the outside. I hated shopping at the boring stores because there was nothing cool to look at. Its still the same now but, there no cool looking stores they all look the same. i hate it soooo much i will never understand why someone would prefer a boring design over something with personality
Exactly! It's tragic to see the creative downfall of so many businesses, especially when their creativity is what made them unique in the first place.
