single purpose media/tech!!

after hours of searching i finally found my childhood mp3 player on ebay! the original was handed down to my brother, which he threw out so many years ago :( however! now that i have my hands on this bad boy again, i can't wait to load all 2 GB (R.I.P.) with my favorites from my childhood to the present! i am getting more in touch with single purpose tech and media, such as mp3 players, CD's, vinyls, game consoles... now that i'm a young adult full of stress and bills, i want to go back to the innocence of childhood, and part of that is distancing myself from my phone. i miss choosing a cd to shove into my cd player, getting excited when my mom would put a new song on my mp3 player, whipping out my DS when i wanted to play a quick game. i also loved the alternative fashion and style from the early 2000's and i was just too young to dive into it. now that i am an adult with big boy money, i am so happy to bring back little pieces of my childhood and live like its the early 2000's, just as an adult now :)
