Ugh, that is so annoying :( I am so sorry.
I think you can go into your settings and turn something about the ads off to where they are just generic (this was a while ago last I heard about it, but worth looking into)

I'm sorry to hear about your brother, I lost my older brother too, back in 2009. Hope your other brother feels better soon. We all had covid a few months ago and my boyfriend was actually in the hospital.
I definitely don't miss any of the unending steams of fake news/conspiracy and advertising on fb. I stay off as much as possible.
