Hip Hop

Lately, I've been seriously wanting to get into hip hop dancing again - like, full chaos mode. Spinning on my head, doing floorwork, learning those crazy moves that make people stare. I know it sounds wild, but I don't even care. The problem? I live in the middle of nowhere, and there are literally zero dance classes around here. Like, unless the cows are teaching breakdancing, I'm on my own. So I guess I'm gonna be my own teacher. YouTube tutorials, practicing in my room, messing up, getting back up - I'm doing it anyway.

When I was a kid, I danced hip hop and modern for a few years. It wasn't anything serious or competitive, but it made me so happy. It was one of the first things that ever felt like mine. Then I got older, and of course, school took over. My parents told me to ''focus''m like dance was a distraction instead of the only thing keeping me entertained. So I quit. And I've missed it ever since. I think it's time to left that version of me come back - the one who moves just because she wants to.

I used to do modern too and other styles of dance until i stopped about a year ago - i get how you feel cuz i actually do miss the dance side of it but there were a lot of other factors that i hated (the people, injuries etc) but yeah hip-hop dancing is more of an interpretive style so u could pretty much do anything you want!!!
