OLD TECH COLLECTION

I was thinking about writing this entry for a while, and i finally found the time to do so. I've been collecting old tech for... over a year, i guess? (without actually spending money on it), and I would like to show you what I've gor so far. I definitely plan on expanding my collection in the near future :)

P.S. i will include only tech that i still own, so no lost stuff today.

Commentary: It also came with a wired remote you could use to basically do anything without touching any buttons on the player itself. I got it back in 2023 from my parents. I didn't really officially get to own it... but rather just using my parents', but overtime i got it permanently :). Still proudly using it. Unfortunately not daily, because i dont have enough space for it in any of the bags i own. I both listen to music through wired earphones and my Tronsmart speaker.

2. Next up - a black 2007 Sony Camera.
Exact model: DSC-W290.

Commentary: Got it for a temporary use but then took it for permanent use XD. Using almost daily and on special occasions. Got it because i was tired of low quality images made on my phone's camera. We had to buy another rechargeable battery since the one it came with now barely holds the battery for half the day (well ofc, it's as old as the camera itself, almost 20 years). I'm glad i now have two, because i easily can change them whenever one of them dies.

Commentary: Only used once in late April of this year. Found it when i was visiting my parents. Couldn't/forgot to bring it with me, so now it's just waiting for me to pick it up... Unlike the previous one, i believe it cannot work with rechargeable batteries. I suspect it is possibly because of how old the camera is.

4. Last but not least - a portable audio recorder.
Exact name: Phillips Voicetracker
Exact model: 7780.

Commentary: Got it from my aunt. Originally used to record my classes at uni so that i could take notes later at home (they teach in a different language i am still learning). Stopped using because i could barely hear anything clearly.

5. Any finally, my first and biggest purchase yet - a PSP console.
Exact model: E1000.

Commentary: honestly? I bought it just so i could play Persona 3 Portable which a purchased way before the console (The game is in japanese exclusively so im struggling to understand any information, but i did play a demo of P3R on my PC and i can say its really alike.
Oomph, i have THE STORY to tell you. So. I LITERALLY had so much beef with the first guy i tried to purchase it from X__X The website wasn't updating the shipping info for more than a week even tho he said that he allegidelly shipped it. Like i was asking him questions non-stop for a few days straight and he had the same excuse "oooh idk why that happened like i shipped it already idk whats wrong". I even asked my bf if it is possible for the website to not update and he said yes. So i was very dissappointed. So the order got cancelled automatically and all the money was refunded. So i purchased it from another guy and guess what!!! I got it in 3 days!!! Was it so hard??? T__T
The only reason why i was hella mad about the guy was because it was around $120 without shipping, but i wanted it so bad cuz it said he would include 10 or more psp games... so i was trying my best to wait as passionately as possible. Well, at the end of the day at least i got the console. But it screeches so much when i play... if anyone knows the cause of it please let me know how to fix.

 I hope on getting more stuff and adding to my collection. I already have a bunch of favorites :)
