Rose Gold Heart

Sometimes I think about you and I am over you, which is so ironic. I never really think about you because you do not think about me. You never talk about me nor look at me, well sometimes I catch you staring at me like one stares at a rose when sniffing their scent. Regardless, I am not important to you because I apparently brought you pain even though I know deep within my heart that all I brought to you was love and kindness. You were my everything. Now I am lost on you. Lost in thought of what I even did to you and lost in what if I did do something that brought you pain. All I saw was kindness in you and I pursued that for you. I filled your heart with rose gold and made your heart out of gold. It worked so well that your heart is now impossible to break and now you are happy without me. However, smelting all that gold for you was so tiring that I cannot move a single muscle to move on. Well, at least I am starting to get there, I am close as ever, and everyone is just waiting for me to cross the finish line.

This is my first poetry entry, I wrote this about a year ago. This poem is about building their partners mindset and love up but at the end of the day they're the one who leaves. They leave the narrator at the end of the story to build themselves up even though they're too tired to build themselves up again all over again but at the end they are starting to gain the motivation to do so.
