Painting in process

}

This is the painting I'm currently working on!' A work in process!!! The face, I am quite pleased with. The arms and hands so far, we don't talk about…

If anybody even sees this, I would love to hear your interpretations of the painting so far. In the finished painting, she’ll be holding withered flowers toward the viewer, as if offering them:)

The face, I'm quite pleased with. Everyting else still needs some SERIOUS work:[

First off, this is a very gorgeous painting already! You're very talented!

As for my interpretation, this painting makes me think that the woman has been blinded by a false facade, which she is now offering to us, the viewer. Perhaps, she is giving us the remains of what she once held dear, still looking at it as what was rather than what it has become. She could be offering us the withered flowers or showing them to us to confirm what she may already know but tries to deny. There are so many ways that we could interpret this. What is your motivation behind this piece?

Ahhh, thank you so much!!!<3 And your interpretation is absolutely beautiful! My intention was the flowers representing her soul in bloom. In offering the withered flowers to the viewers, it’s as if she’s offering what she can give of her soul, which she’s kept hidden away for so long that it’s become crumpled and fallen apart in her hands. Each viewer can decide for themselves: Does one accept what she can give, or does one reject it? It’s sort of meant to express how often, people’s beautiful souls are never even seen because nobody is willing to look closer:)
