Hello! I'm gonna use this specific blog as a log of my studies I'll try to update it weekly or bi monthly for my first term. Today was my first day! I was a little late but no one really noticed so it's all good! We are currently researching a style,genre etc to practice in and eventually finish an homage piece for. That's just for the morning. In the afternoon I had drawing we started with the basic shaded sphere (which I had trouble with) we used conte which I'm not as comfortable with as I am w/ regular willow charcoal. We're doing a drapery study over the next 4 weeks I did some practice and I've got some work to do lol. I'm gonna read the natural way to draw by kimon nickolai and maybe practice if I have the time before next week. I saw some friends who are in the advanced diploma and they each have a very cool little special are just for them which I think is so cute.

Hey! So I haven't been at school for the past week and today (when I usually have class) I've been sick and been unable to go to campus. Which really sucks and I'm gonna have to catch up really quick especially because I've missed so much of my Monday classes (we also had a day off due to a public holiday). I'll probably go to my Wednesday class and do my best to catch up. Wish me luck!

I've been super busy with school! I've finished my Homage project (I chose Macoto takashashi as the artist I wanted to "copy") It's not perfect and I might fix it before the end of the year, but I'm glad I don't need to worry about it so much. I am super behind on my drapery drawing, but my teacher is super chill and I won't have to submit it for a while, but I should try to work on it at home more often. I also need to finish my second illustration assignment I'm hoping to get it done by the end of this week, the project I decided on is fairly simple. But those two I'm focusing more at home, while on campus during class hours I'm focusing on the second extend expertise assignment, we need to produce quite a few medium trials and "finished" works of the same image. I'm probably going to do a cute little parfait/sundae for each one, I just need some more reference and inspo. However I think I'm gonna have a good time working with each of the medias. Drawing we've just been producing life drawings in class for our portfolio and all I really need to do is show up to class for now, maybe tomorrow we'll be starting our second assignment proper I think it's an ink piece but I don't know yet. As for my illustration class I'm focusing on a single page of my graphic novel, that I'd like to eventually produce fr. After that I have 5 spot illustrations of zodiacs but I'm not gonna think about that for a bit. So i've got a lot to do!
