I’d see a bird
The universe delivered
The next day
From my tarot deck I drew
A card with a bird on it
Later I saw fly past my face
A tiny little sparrow
And over my head
Flew the largest flock of pigeons I’d ever seen
My friends say I should tell you
How I feel about you
And the universe
Delivered the signs
So I see no reason why
I should keep my feelings
Locked away
From you
Except for the fact
That I don’t think you feel
The way
That I do
I worry that you
Will find me weird
Or get uncomfortable
And I will lose a friend
But if you happen to ask
Who it is I like
I will tell you
