Tamagotchis: a growing addiction/problem

First off, theyre expensive like what the hell do you mean a gen 1-3 regular tamagotchi is like 20 bucks.

I got real into tamagotchis, I have a gen 3 angelgotchi and I love it. So far I've gone thru two (they didn't die they ascended to heaven i think) and they both have had similar names. First one was StupidUgly, the second StupiderUgly. The third will be StupiderUglier. You get the naming scheme. 

Anyways the main point was I wanted to know if I should cave in and get the Tamagotchi Uni or just wait till August 1st to buy the new Tamagotchi Paradise. Idc that theyre $60 and $40 respectively i need them. I know that the Uni lets you connect with people online but is it random or can I also connect with someone directly? If not, I will probably just wait for Paradise. Im gonna get one for a friend too anyways.

Also srry last thing which is the coolest tamagotchi device to have hanging on my pant's waist?
