My Poetry, Pt. 3

Aahh I finally have a few more poems to post!! Pls let me know if u enjoyed them (or hated them) <3

Also, I actually included some Haiku in this post--which honestly is my favorite kind of poem if I'm being honest. Also, I want to note that all my poems, aside from my haiku, have mostly been freestyle (incase you were wondering)! That, and I tend to post 4 at a time. 

One last note before you delve into what I've written below, I just want to say that these poems are kept in an actual journal irl, so it might explain why some of these may seem out of order because I just wright them whenever I happen to think of them. Also, I recently put some horror-themed stickers on said poetry journal, and now it feels like the most gothic thing I own! 😼

Hold me as the tears fall down my face
Whisper to me a sweet lullaby
So I may rest soundly tonight
The stars, they glimmer in the sky
Watching me whenever I cry
I call out to them, pray to them
Asking for a fighting chance
Reach out your hand of light
Wipe my tears with your gentleness 
Tell me it'll be alright
I don't want to fall, I don't want to cry
Hold me, whisper to me
So I fall into eternal slumber
With the stars as my witness
The stars are my guide
And i pray that if I awake
I will no longer need to cry

Unending Cycle
I'm trapped for eternity
Awaiting my fate

Tear down the lights so we can see the stars tonight
I long to see the sparkling in the sky
They whisper to me at night
Singing their sweet lullabies

It is forever hanging
Life and death anew
