This is from
I've got about three total unbroken images to go off of so:
01.
Find yourself a base and resize and crop it into a 100x100px image
02.
Sharpen, Just using CSP's Sharpen in the Filter dropdown
03.
Create Correction Layer > Hue/Saturation/Luminosity > set Saturation to -30 > set Correction Layers Blending mode to Screen
04.
Create New Layer > Fill with #BF9F3D > Set Layers Blending mode to Soft light
05.
Create New Layer > Fill with #000040 > Set Layers Blending mode to Exclusion
06.
Create New Layer > White to Transparent Gradient from Top Left corner diagonally down.
Initial tries with the Straight line Gradient Shape were too harsh, used the Circle Gradient Shape instead.
07.
Merge all Layers > Create New Layer> Fill with #CA705D > Set Layers Blending mode to Soft light
08.
Font used is Georgia,
"7" is Size 13 and "th" is Size 8 in #CA705D
"heaven" is Size 9 in Black.
Character spacing was tucked away in the Sub Tool Detail Pallet before i discovered it, so the spacing in "heaven" is achieved the cheeky way by a space between every character.
09. Merge all Layers > Select Quick Filters from the Filter dropdown > Adjust selections:
Brightness -10,
Warmth -100,
Tint 50
The tutorial mentioning the Adjustments >variations menu in Photoshop CS, this is my closest approximation of it.
I don't entirely hate it but but also it's certainly not striking the sickly yellow tone that the original had, though that may be a lack of white overall in the base image, the orange red tone really overpowers it despite it being set to soft light, my approximations with quick filters also makes a little too dark?
06. was a nice base though so:
06.2. Merge all Layers > Create New Layer> Fill with #C6AF93 > Set Layers Blending mode to Soft light
06.3.
A Colour to Transparent Gradient that spans the height of the text runs left to right behind it, sampled from the purple mid range blacks, top is softened with the soft eraser brush to blend into the counter top.
Eh not perfect, but it was fun to mess with. ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
