awkward hair growth

Alrightt so I have dark brown hair (dyed) and after 3 years of actively dyeing my hair in literally every color of the rainbow I decided to let my natural color grow out because I feel kinda... nostalgic about it?? Idk I feel as if I'm inviting over a friend I haven't seen in a looong time (⊙ˍ⊙). Now the thing is, my natural hair color is ginger/strawberry blonde. It's significantly lighter than my current color. IT LOOKS SO AWKWARD! ╰（‵□′）╯ IT LITERALLY LOOKS AS IF I'M BALDING. My friend sent me pictures from my birthday party. There is one specific photo of me directly facing the camera, the flash is turned on and I kid you not it looks as if I'm balding from the sides. My baby hairs don't help either it looks like I have pattern baldness! Are there any hairstyles or solutions for growing out light hair on dark dyed hair?
