I'M NOT WHITEWASHED

I'm soooo tired of being called whitewashed over everything I do. How I dress, how I talk, the things I'm interested in. I wouldn't be surprised if someone called me whitewashed for being on this website. I used to be really close with someone who told me I don't "act black". So I asked her to tell me how she thought I'd act and she just started being loud and assumed I would just wanna start fights and be violent, it was weird. I hate that you can't have a since of individualism without being shamed for it. And I ESPECIALLY hate that it's your own people who say this to you. It hurts when people who you would think would be on your side being the mains ones shaming you. I only ever hear it from black people telling other black people they aren't black enough. It's so sad 😞
