every time i see a tiktok about india, it's always some tourist visiting india where there is a lot of poverty or indian streetfood. i genuinely saw a video of an asian influencer screaming "i hate india." literally everybody in the comments is like "india disrespect buttton!!!!" or "stinky" or "dirty people." like i genuinely dont understand why these comments have like tens of thousands likes. why does nobody in the comments defend indians??? why is this okay now? im not indian myself but i know that not every indian is going to fit the negative stereotypes forced upon them. it sucks genuinely seeing people hate on a culture so beautiful and rich because they see a narrow perspective by some tourist. like i dont know is it a hot take to say racism is bad? STOP RACISM AGAINST INDIANS!
why is racism towards indians so normalized

I completely agree. And no one's saying anything about it.
I've already had a discussion on this and I'll just paste what I said (I'm too lazy rn sorry)
I feel this. As a Pakistani person, all my friends were discussing racism, and somehow, each and every one of them said their parents / family is super racist towards Indians specifically. They also said it as if it was like 'they really aren't that racist. its just towards indians', kind of showing how it isn't a big deal?
I feel like it isn't even entirely their fault. In my area, if ever someone was to be committing a crime, their identity is only shown if they are an immigrant / come from an immigrant family. I've heard such horrible things towards south Asians like 'they're polluting the country, causing more crimes, taking our jobs.' and to a degree, I honestly agree. My area is so desperate to revive the economy their immigration application is way too easy to get through. And yes, crime rates, car accidents, and burglaries have 100% increased as more immigrants are welcomed in the country. But this isn't the problem of the entire race. It's a problem of poor background checks beforehand, and the laws put in place aren't severe enough.
It's a problem that shouldn't and can't be solved with just racism, and in fact, racism only makes it worse.
