why are men so oblivious and complicated when it comes to a girl showing any interest in them? what can i do to make him understand mines are legitimate feelings since he has me acting like a fool at this point...

Literally just tell him (Yourself!!) "Hey I really really like you! I can't make it any more obvious than this. So how do YOU feel about me? " Then be ready for whatever answer comes your way.
Imo this would in any OTHER circumstance be a very chalant and cringe thing to say.
Honestly it's probably the only way to get through to some dudes though. When I was younger I had girls hitting on me ALL THE TIME and I look back like omg that girl was head over heels, or that girl was so star struck with me she lost all her composure. But at the time I was like nahhhhh, they probably don't like me like that.
One time I had a girl that was super hot that I really liked tell her friend to tell me that she loved me and wanted to date. When he told me I was like nahhhh dude! You're prankin me!! HAHA! :'D
Luckily now I can tell much more effectively. :P
