IZAYA YUMESHIP!!

HELLOOOO!!! Been a while (⁠ﾉ⁠◕⁠ヮ⁠◕⁠)⁠ﾉ⁠*⁠.⁠✧ I kinda forgot I had this blog for a while since irl stuff happened BUT!!!!!! I'm back in my brainrot and SOOO ready to yap about fictional characters and seiyuus again <⁠(⁠￣⁠︶⁠￣⁠)⁠>

Today I wanna show my yumesona!!! Since I've been getting hyped for this year's Art Fight I've been working on some of my OCs again and after reviving my yumesona I've become kind of obsessed with him hehe, so today I wanna ramble about his lore and relationship with the cutest most evilest pretty girl in the whole world... ORIHARA IZAYA ( ♡⁠∀⁠♡⁠)!!

I don't usually like posting my drawings but I honestly just wanna talk about his lore and relationship with Izaya... So without further ado... MORE YAPPING!!!!

This is his latest ref! On his design all I have to say is that he's just a more urban/Durarara-resque (?) version of my main sona. Also fun fact: he's actually more like me irl than my main sona lol, I have those exact clothes, same fuckass bright red backpack and overall loserness... only difference is that I don't have dyed bangs and also my hair is way shorter, but those are key elements from my sona so I decided to leave them of course 

Backstory:

After a family trip to Japan, his parents forgot him there and he's been living in the streets ever since. He found a refuge in alcohol and has been drinking himself to death. Getting money from begging and doing shitty, undeclared work and spending all that money on drinks and manga.

One day he decides that his life is no longer worth living, but being the internet obsessed little rat he is, decides that killing himself on his own is too lonely (when he's actually just too scared of death) and seeks suicide forums to find people to join him on a suicide-group thing. This is were he meets Izaya, where he does his Izaya thing and drugs him and leaves him on the street with the little money he had left stolen. He decides that this is a sign from the heavens and makes Izaya his saviour, with a fake name it's hard to find people, but he makes finding that strange man his entire life goal. Drinking (slightly) less he starts his mission and quickly finds out that the man was no less than the info broker Orihara Izaya and that he's currently living in Shinjuku. 

His mission takes years but after he finally gets to Izaya's apartment he begs him to let him work for the broker. After telling him his story Izaya decides to let him live with him, mostly because he finds it fascinating that someone would find him worthy enough to devote their entire life to and decides to study this little creature from up-close.

Until he realizes that Kiba is entirely empty, there's nothing interesting about him. He's a shell of a person, barely qualifying as human, he realizes that Kiba has made his mission to find him to such an extent that he forgot that he's his own individual. Izaya is no longer interested, but decides to keep him around as an errand boy. Slowly he starts to despise him, realizing that he's nothing but a drunkard fanboy.

But from Kiba's perspective Izaya is more than a savior, he's a god worthy of devotion. He's upset that everyone seems to hate him and doesn't understand why no one can see him as the misunderstood broken soul that he is, while living with him his admiration of Izaya only grows bigger, he starts seeing that Izaya is more human than anyone gives him credit for, even Izaya himself.

AND THAT'S MY SON ( *⁠´⁠∀⁠｀⁠)⁠｡⁠*ﾟ seems a little stupid to make a yumesona only to make my oshi hate me but I just couldn't think of a universe where Izaya is genuinely interested in anyone but Shizuo or Shinra. Plus his hatred for Kiba vs his hatred of Shizuo is SO different that he's forced to confront this difference, realizing that while they're both inhuman, he still wants Shizuo to be close to him (fact that he's been ignoring since meeting him btw, such a tsundere ( >∀⁠< )♡⁠) 

I made a short comic about that tee hee, I was too lazy to properly finish it but oh well :P

Also a shitty dumb storyboard about Kiba seeing Izaya as human narrated through eyes because... I am normal about Izaya's pretty light-brown cute eyes that are sometimes depicted as red because he's evil and stupid. I could talk for hours about that ugggh (⁠๑>⌓<๑⁠)

I'll maybe be making a self-insert for DGS Hibiki, but I've been art blocked since coming back from rehab (clearly it didn't help at all lawl.
