Thrifting ⋆˚꩜｡

(Side note: I know I just posted my first blog today, but I got inspired to write again and this time about a hobby I love alot! So I hope you enjoy!)

I absolutely love thrifting, but I can’t do it as much because I’m always either too busy or very broke, so I’m currently saving up to go again, hopefully soon before my summer break ends! Since I’ve been thrifting for a while I decided I wanted to talk about the things I love finding while thrifting, some cool pieces I found and love with my whole heart & my opinons on thrifting!!

First off, my opinions on thrifting, which isn’t alot- but this is mostly based on resellers such as the IG resellers and the ones who sell in those popup markets because of how INSANELY high the prices are! Like 5K (in pesos) for a pair of jeans? Are you serious! The thrift store is where I get most of my denim and at most they cost like ₱900 to 1k, and even for little charms and belts (which you can order online for as little as 100-300 pesos) go up to ₱900, and I’ve found the exact same thing they are selling on places like shoppee. I don’t really like shopping online for a multitude of reasons, but if you wanna get something like a studded belt or something which is really hard to find here where I live, instead of spending an unreasonably high price on something which is clearly from Shoppee or Lazada, just get it for a more affordable price directly from those stores, I honestly wish there were more ethical and affordable places to get alternative clothes and accessories where I live aside from thrift stores but they don’t really exist, unless I just haven’t heard of them, and I go around alot looking for these places. I don’t mind people wanting “easier” alternatives than going to the thrift store, and those pieces are hand picked and very nice, but for tops which at most cost around ₱200 which is stretching it, the overpricing is kind of insane and I guarantee you, you don’t need to spend 1k on one shirt just to get another one for free, because that 1k alone could probably get you at least 3 or 4.

That was really long, but now moving onto things I look for at the thrift store! -Graphic Tees - this one is kind of obvious, but I’ve found some really cool ones, and they’re sort of hard to come by, so when I find one I hold onto it for dear life. Recently I found a large blue graphic tee that has a skull on it and it was kind of hidden on the design I didn’t notice it at first and it says “killing time” while two guys are mining rocks that shape the skull and I thought it looked cool and now I plan to wear it alot. I’m also super happy I was able to find two things I’ve been looking for for a really long time which is a cute -miniskirt- because it was really hard to find one in my size, and even the one I found I had to adjust a bit but it’s still really cute. and a white -tiered skirt- and this is really easy to find anywhere because it’s popular but I was super specific with it because I needed it to be affordable, at my preferred length and also slightly poofy ? Because I found a few but they weren’t up to my standards, but I finally found the one I wanted the same day I found my blue graphic tee. Some skirts were just too short and others were too long and some just made me look like a stick. So I’m happy to finally have the one I wanted. And lastly! -Bags- now I only have one really good bag from the thrift store, and it’s a red leather shoulder bag I use for school, and honestly it’s the perfect size for me, not to big and not too small. Also not too boring to blend in with the usual long champ bags of my classmates, which isn’t bad, It’s just not really my style. And I also got it for a decent price!
