popular things I don't like, don't care for, or don't understand

this list was completely random and out of a whim, I just have been thinking of things I don't like for too long and they've been weighing on me, so what better way to get it off my chest than to talk about it!

probably going to continue updating every time I think of something else, so this definitely won't be everything! this isn't to spark a debate, but I'd like to hear about things that you guys aren't really into, but everyone else is!

anyway here are popular things I don't like, don't care for, or don't understand with my reasoning (or not):

at first, I didn't care for her music because the only song I knew of her was popular on TikTok in like 2021-2022. but every song of her I listen to is really just not??? it to me. I do not like her music. there's nothing wrong with it but for some reason I just have a strong negative reaction. and no it's not sad emotions because her music isn't sad. her music barely makes me shed a tear. I just can't get into it. I prefer laufey, always. it's nothing against her or her music, I can understand why someone might like it, but it's not my style

"the hottest guy" guys this is the MOST BASIC WHITE GUY on planet earth. be so forreal LOLLL!! he just looks like a white guy. I don't get the hype. idk why guys claim he's the most handsome haha

>astrology, specifically zodiac signs

people taking zodiac signs seriously is the most strangest thing to me lolol. every time I hear that kind of conversation it always goes something like

"what sign are you?" 

"oh im a leo"

"oh so you're rude and sassy."

WHAT?! and obviously I'm using a hyperbole but its not even too far off. half the time I see a video/article about my sign they get everything about me wrong. NO my personality is not defined by what month and day I was born in, it's influenced by the environment and culture. please miss me with all that. "what's your si-" no.

and apparently my zodiac sign changed so I wonder what they're going to make up about me now, hmmm.

I found it funny at first, I was a little TikTok warrior so my mind was corrupted. but now that I've matured and grew my own brain and opinions I realized it was so annoying. there's no way you find an ai video of an ai voice going 'tum tum tum sahur' funny. there's no way. and then saying that in public??? ... yeah no. 

and weren't we making fun of iPad kids for liking skibidi toilet?? oh no you don't want to get into that? alright, lets move on

it's definitely grown since the pilot, not as corny as I thought of it before, but there are still some qualities about it that I can't get around to. I personally don't like the over animation of it, that's just personal preference. I don't usually like overly cartoony shows, I prefer good animation being used to be realistic. this is not a critique on that aspect, it's really good and shows the animators are super talented!

the dialogue is very corny to me. the pilot is the biggest culprit, so I guess it's gotten better. even then the dialogue is bleh to me, it doesn't stick out. it gets edgy and then it tries to be super deep. but I will say its definitely getting better and more watchable! I can see myself liking it in the future!

yes he needed his own category. his whole character screamed fan favorite the moment I saw him. he's LITERALLY the mean pretty guy character trope that everyone simps over. and to me, he's gotten worse, especially in the new episode. he's so edgy and it's so forced.

people who religiously go to Starbucks are people I avoid. no, I don't think Starbucks actively supports Israel, people took the lawsuit out of context. however, when the boycott was getting traction the starbucks goons were online going "*snort* boycott?? I'd never. I NEEEED my 23 pump caramel vanilla bean latte with extra pumps of vanilla with my 2000 calorie cakepop to go with it every day." like oh yeah? you'd choose you're diabetes filled drink over thousands of families being blown up right now? kay. every single person that goes to Starbucks is that kind of person, insensitive and apathetic. 

the drinks aren't even good either, it's just sugar?? and it's so overpriced too... they treat their workers like crap on top of all that like it pisses me off so bad. 

>name brands (gucci, Lululemon, stanley)

people will buy anything that has a name brand and is overpriced, knowing dang well they're ugly as heck. rhode phone cases? don't make me mad. those shoes that are purposefully ugly... 

stop im getting angry let me move on before I insult people. because I need to mind my business, know? people like what they like....

>labels

I'm talking about fashion, sexuality, art style, gender, aesthetics, ect. not everything needs to be explained or named. it can just exist. you can just be you, you can like who you like, you can be who you want to be. the constant "what's this style called?""omg this is so moutainhillsidefairycreekpuppy-core" and needing to label every characteristic about yourself deprives uniqueness and it upsets me.

yeah there's no reason for influencers to be in movies just because they're popular. I also don't care about another person's life that much. like why are we so obsessed what people in like the hype house are doing?? people who care about that sort o thing is crazy.

and this also applies to celebrities, like I really don't care about a celebrity's life. just act, sing, or do whatever you got famous for. why do people know when Beyonce is pooping? why should I care about the relationship drama of someone who doesn't even know I exist?

I don't think he's fine, I will not defend him, and he's an idiot. I don't understand the simping and love for him. he's the perfect antagonist, love his story. I don't like his character traits or actions.

when I was a kid I used to drink in the smell of gas as much as I could, like I craved it. but now it gives me a headache and repulses me. I don't like it AT ALL

nothing against this show, I actually genuinely cannot get into this show no matter how hard I try
