No one ever told me

   I’d wake up to 

      fight everyday 

for a place in 

    my mind to 

         say I’m okay 

aren’t we all kind of lost 

and a bit mad 

& sometimes I’m happy

they ignore the 

                burns on my arm

as if I’m a child 

and fell again 

        truth is I have only fallen

  out of love with life itself
