One tree hill Brooke opinion

I'm watching One Tree Hill for the first time right now and everyone seems to love Brooke, but I'm just not the biggest fan. I think she will probably become a better character, but right now I just don't like her. I don't think anyone said anything bad about her in the first season. I don't get it (btw I'm on season 1, episode 12.) so, my question is did everyone already like her in season 1?
