Report Blog Entry
I went back out today. I had to. Staying in the house felt… off. Not scary exactly, just wrong. Like the air was too still. Like I was being stared at by nothing.
I walked farther than last time — all the way down past the post office and into town.
It’s weird how untouched everything is. The world looks like it’s mid-sentence.
A school bus stopped at a crosswalk, hazard lights on. No one inside.
A bench had a newspaper sitting on it — today’s date. The ink was still wet when I touched it.
I called out. Knocked on doors. Broke into a gas station just to hear something. The hum of the coolers was there, but the freezer was warm inside, like the sound was faking it.
That’s the part that gets me — everything looks and sounds normal, but when you actually check... it’s not doing anything. Like the world is running on an empty loop.
I kept going until I hit the edge of town — that little park where the road ends and the trees start. It felt colder there. I swear the shadows stretched longer than they should’ve.
Then I heard it — not a sound exactly, but a kind of vibration. Like the inside of my ears were buzzing. I turned around, but there was no one. Just the same still town.
Except now the school bus was gone.
I didn’t hear it drive off. It was just… not there anymore.
I came home after that. I don’t think I’ll go back out tonight.
The lights are still flickering when I look at them too long, the sirens still blaring.
And I swear my hallway’s a little longer than it was this morning.

Uh... i'm in joplin and everything's totally normal here. No sirens, no outages, school wasn't even delayed. Are you sure it wasn't a drill or something?
No… It’s not a drill. The whole neighborhood‘s empty, houses are unlocked. No cars, nothing. My moms coffee was 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘮 when i woke up, she was just there. You‘re saying NOTHING happened there?

What the heck?!? It's like your in an empty world operating 2 frames per second. The newspaper is concerning, along with the bus!!!
That’s exactly what it feels like. Like everything’s running, but just barely. Like I’m inside a copy of the world that wasn’t finished loading.
The newspaper freaked me out too. It wasn’t even wet, just… fresh? Like it had been placed there for me to find.
And the bus… I didn’t hear it leave. It was just gone. That’s been bothering me more than anything. Things don’t move, they just… switch places when I’m not looking. Like the world’s trying to skip the boring parts and pretend it’s normal.
