My Song Queens Traffic!

One of my favorite NYC moments I've experienced was in traffic on the Satan Island Expressway on my way to Queens (yes, I misspelled that on purpose)... some jackass in a black SUV decided they were going to change lanes without a signal or checking to see if there was a car beside them... I flashed my headlights and blared my horn but they just kept coming... so after a little veering and evasive maneuvering, I let them in... well... there was a cop about 3 cars ahead who heard and saw the whole thing in his rearview... and he pulled off into the shoulder... so I gladly made some extra room to let him in... now I'm not saying the nypd is all on the up and up or anything... but for all those times I've every thought 'where's a cop when you need one'... that time, they came through.

Another favorite of mine - I was walking to a Regan Youth reunion show somewhere in Manhattan... and I came across a bike frame that was chained... no handle bars, wheels, crank, peddles, or chain... just the frame... chained up and secure... I tried to get a picture of it with my phone... well... a bunch of cabbies waiting at the traffic light saw what I was doing and before I knew it, I had about 4 cabbie spotlights on the bike to help get me a better picture... now, it that ain't a New York moment, I don't know what is... lol
