How to spot (and murder) a Scam/Advertisement account!

This blog pot will be a simple and easy to follow guide on sussing out an Advertisement, Scamdvertisement, or other such other account on this lovely little platform!

"But what is an advertisement and/or scamdvertisement account?", you might be saying in response to me typing a new made up word just now, and I hear you clear!
I consider an account on SpaceHey to be an Advertisement Account if it's sole purpose on the platform is to promote something, usually a website or a service, while a Scamdvertisement Account is the same but with the promotion of a scam (like erroneously chip medicine or gift cards or anything related to trading or stocks). You should NOT confuse these with advertising things in general.
These sorts of accounts usually also appear in many different, often obscure, websites relatives close to each other. This is usually done to SEO optimize the living balls out of their thing to promote them to even more people, which is ultimately their goal.

Wanna know who to look for? It's simple really. Usually these accounts have the logo for the thing they're advertising as their pfp and the username as the thing they're advertising. There will ALWAYS be a link to their thing, but it varies where it will appear, sometimes not even being there.
There is ALWAYS a commercial blurb about the thing, usually in the About Me, and sometime copied over to the Interests Table(tm) and the Meet Blurb(tm).
Sometimes, these accounts masquerade as typical people. This is really easy to spot, as basically all of these use stock images and then go like "hi, im xyz from [thing the account advertises]. [advertising]". This should be easy enough to spot.

Here is an example with an actual Advertisement account:

So how do you find these accounts? Well, there is several places that they mainly show up in:

The New People Tab/Browser

There is always a host of new people coming in every once in a minute, and some of these accounts appear on the so-called "Cool New People" tab on your home page. Sometimes they are buried by actual users though. In this case, you can use the Browse feature to the advantage!
Go to the Browse page, and select the New People filter above.
With this, its a near guarantee that you can find some of these promiscuous folk.

The Blogs

Sometimes, an Advertisement account will spam in the Blog section of this site. You can just click on the offending profile and proceed further ahead. These are uncommon, but do appear and sometimes go under the radar.

The Forums

I've seen it rarely, but occasionally some Advertisement accounts can post replies to forum posts. All of the accounts that did this so far have been for gambling and such. These sorts of accounts can go on for a long time because I feel like not that many folk here use the Forums in the first place (like me).

Okay, so now that you got all the gobbledygook about ads and stuff, what do you do with that? Well it's simple!

REPORTTTT THEMM!!!!!! RAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to the TOS of this website (which I indeed read), in the Acceptable Use Policy, you cannot "send through the Site unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any other form of duplicative or unsolicited messages". This means that all of these account that pop up are directly breaking the SpaceHey rulebook, and should be banished to hell and beyond. Just state in the reason box that its because the account is made only for advertising something (and any other thing about them).

Have a great day folks, and hope I get to be an admin so these things get demolished faster!
