would it be right to flip a struggling -like when theyre on their backs trying to flip themselves over- bug over? bc I read if they cant do it themselves theyre likely to die. would I be doing something good or would I just be prolonging sometings suffering just so I can feel good about it??

Personally I do it when I can, especially since just a small act can make such a difference to them. Sometimes you do have to be careful (depending on where you live) because certain species will lash out if touched in a vulnerable position.
You can always use a stick or leaf if you're not sure, And often they'll figure it out on their own! The main threat is getting eaten or stepped on.
