overthinking my decisions as always

AGHHHH so remember dish guy? Well we've been chatting a lot at work and I worked up the courage to give him my number and I'm kinda freaking out about it. I didn't make a big deal about it or anything, I just wrote my number on a coaster and labeled it "[my name] from work", then I handed it to him and went off to more bus tables. I don't think he minded, because we went back to chatting like normal when I came back with more plates.

I hope it came off as a coworker thing and not a flirting thing because I don't want it to be a whole thing right off the bat y'know? Also I don't even know if he has a girlfriend or anything. For now though, I just wanna be friends. I didn't even ask him if he wanted my number or anything either because I thought that'd be too weird. Besides, the girl who trained me, Audrey, gave me her number without asking too. So I figured if I was nonchalant about it, it wouldn't be weird.

Its normal for coworkers to have eachother's numbers right? He hasn't texted me yet, but that's definitely normal because he's out of there really late. I'm worried that our coworkers will make a big deal of it though. Like, I know I'm not gonna get fired for it, but if my dad finds out through work gossip, I might just die. He's commented on me talking to him, but I have enough male friends to where I don't think he'll mind. If push comes to shove though, I'll probably just play dumb and be all like "Well Audrey gave me her number, why can't I make friends with the dish boy too? We're both the same age." He just seems really cool y'know?
