Minimalism is an outdated corpse of 2010s web design, fuck you

Now, some of you will wonder "yoooo Giygas/Giegue/chuuunnn/fuckface, stop preaching to the choir, you're only saying this because you know everyone agrees," which I mean...yeah, maybe, but nobody seems to mention the why of it.

You guys wanna know WHY minimalism exists? SIMPLE, late 2000s, piece of shit smartphones, primarily the ones by apple. They had tiny screens compared to now, very small resolutions. They had the classic, delicious gradients for quite a while, much like their predecessors with their even tinier screens (nokia, all sony ericssons, etcetera), but due to their smaller screens, visibility was considered lacking. 

Now ignoring how making everything stale and sterile for the sake of shitty screen limitations is straight out of a dystopian novel, YEAH that technically makes sense. Make things more visible, sure....SO WHY THE FUCK ARE WE STILL DOING IT?!

Phone screens literally have INSANE resolutions now. My fucking redmi from like almost half a decade ago is better than my LAPTOP in terms of pixels. Visibility could not be any less of an issue. But oh no we better keep this lifeless slop intact, let's just keep everything lifeless and sterile. LET'S DOUBLE DOWN ON CORPORATE MEMPHIS TOO, the worst fucking artstyle known to man.

Like we as in the global culture of planet earth have remained stagnant for an unfathomable amount of years. We make superficial evolutions in terms of dickriding about AI, but down to the basic human spirit, corporations have realized they don't need to change. Humans are creative, yeah, but corporations are merely made up of people. Pseudophilosophy aside, the more there are in a hive, the easier it is to distance oneself from the individual desire to create and evolve.

In other words, nobody likes this shit, but nobody HATES it enough for it to be an "issue," so nothing changes. It persists with no reason, it was done due to limitations, but now that they're gone nobody has fucking bothered to evolve graphic design. It's just sad.

Give me my fucking gradients back, dickheads. Honestly nah don't even give me the old shit, just make something new, literally anything. Maybe then people would not be thirsting for frutiger aero...which YEAH, they thirst for it, not only because it looks like clear, beautiful water, BUT BECAUSE IT WAS SOMETHING?! Like something tangible? Nobody is gonna remember this flat shit.
