Today's Album: Freak Out! by The Mothers of Invention
Requested by: kfeemi (thank you vro!!)
Released in 1966, "Freak Out!" was their first studio album, it's really cool! It's very experimental, but in a good way. Some of the slower songs like "Go Cry on Somebody Else's Shoulder" were really funny and felt like a parody of popular love songs of the time, like "You Really Got A Hold On Me" by The Beatles. They also seem to like cream cheese based on "The Return Of The Son Of Monster Magnet" lol. Some songs that really stood out for me were "Hungry Freaks, Daddy" and "Wowie Zowie."
Rating: 7/10 I really enjoyed it!
