i would HIGHLLYY recommend you do not pierce yourself at home with no experience. You need very good precision to get the right spot and you need to make sure it's even or it'll just look bad. the septum is a very awkward spot and is not an easy area to pierce, especially because everyone has a different 'sweet spot' on their septum, which is a thin flap of skin between the cartilage and the nose tip. Most professional piercers are good at finding this spot by massaging the area. if you pierce it wrong it could come out off-centered or crooked...

I did mine myself so ik I cant stop you, but buy actual sterile 16g piercing needles (etsy has them, thats where I got mine), and a piercing clamp. Feel around for the soft spot in between the cartilage, and put the clamp on it (very important you WILL get it crooked if you dont do this), and put the needle through with clean hands/gloves. It shouldn't hurt at all if you put it in the right spot. Mine hurt less than my lobes. But I would highley recommend going to a piercer because it is hard

My bad for the unhelpful reply, I found this WikiHow article to start you off, but it's pretty straight-forward once you read into the process and precautions. Just do more research and everything should be fine.
