Raihan Exoticca

Hi, so the reason why I kept my legal first name in my stage name was because it is very important to me. My surname didn't matter because it was always going to be that way.

My first name was decided ever since my mother was little and she would talk about it with her little sister alot. I think she told me once that there was a little boy on her street while she was growing up. He had the same name and he was a well behaved child. My mum just liked the name and believed that THAT was the one.

She kept this decision strong right until her adulthood and until me (her first born) was ready to be named (as you know, it was a boy too, which is what she wanted). It was a very careful decision and a long thought out decision.

I am grateful for her care in the name and how it wasn't just something that was thought up on the day of birth. I believe it has connotations (where I originate) of "heaven's flower" or something along the lines of that. It is a very beautiful name, but like I said, that's the meaning from where I originate and alot of different regions may have their own meanings, which is OKAY!

I chose the name Exoticca, not as a vulgar choice but as a way to portray the music as far away, attractive and tropical. Almost like your favourite holiday that you only get to go to during the holidays or weeks off of work. Again, the only time you can fully enjoy the music is when you are fully emersed, because my productions are quite full and take alot of time and consideration when arranging the compositions. I used two Cs to make the name more unique and to emphasize the C. It separate the word up as syllables and makes the word emphasized on the fact that it is exotic and the A on the end of it (with my added C) means that it is more of a THEME rather than a word. My music is quite like a holiday of sound, quite diverse, eventful and full of different experience and meaning (my music is NOT just about love and break ups). I experiment with different sound too, so it's like going on multiple holidays at once. Btw, I AM autistic so it makes more sense in my head.

I am also a huge fan of Ayesha Erotica so I found that I needed the surname to be a theme that fits my music. Ayesha's music is about testing the limits of feminine styles and sexual attractions (which is very artistic and not really musically made that much with such emotion. Ayesha captures it well). My theme is about experimenting and finding desire, compassion and difference in my music. It's not mainstream. Btw Ayesha got me into producing my own stuff.

This name was thought put VERY carefully. Those saying it's like a pornstar have NOT listened to the music to understand the motive and have therefore given in to the eye candy. Sometimes if lures people in because of how absurd they may think of it. Later on, people come to understand the true meaning of my music and how everything I do is very thought out.

This is a very high interest side activity and hobby. I love doing music but I would also like to have a regular job alongside it.
