hi hi! it's eugene :) uh. i dunno how to start this. but, if you've happened to notice my change in pfp and profile themes / songs in general for the past couple of months or so, you'd noticed there are some new figures in my life! or, some new figures' music in my life, to be more accurate.
enter at the drive-in, a band from el paso, tx that were mainly active from 1994 to 2001! they released four albums in that period: acrobatic tenement, in / casino / out, vaya (correction, vaya is an ep i keep forgetting that sorry ㅠㅠ), and (their most commercially popular album) relationship of command. and during most of that period they had 5 members: cedric bixler-zavala (vocals), omar rodríguez lópez (lt. handed guitar), jim ward (rt. handed guitar), paul hinojos (bass guitar), and tony hajjar (drums).
the main reason that i wanted to make this post was to say that if you haven't heard their music before, i highly recommend! their relationship of command album (especially one armed scissor) is where most people start as it was their most popular, but everything's solid~
inversely, if you have listened to their music and like it, tell me what song(s) you like!!! i'm personally super into helitrope and cosmonaut right now, but tbh they change like... every week just depending on my mood.

ooh hi eugene! :DD okay so i gotta admit i never heard of at the drive-in until you started talking about them haha. but i checked the album out and i really like “pattern against user” and “one armed scissor” the beginning of that one lowkey reminded me of a naruto opening (cuz like 90% of them were rock lol).
ngl i ended up liking “enfilade” n “cosmonaut” too, especially after a second listen... they really grew on me fast. “non-zero possibility” might actually be my fave on first listen though?? idk the whole album kinda just hits. it’s safe to say i like all the songs LOL.

(also. for the longest time i thought omar was related to cedric ㅠㅠ embarrassing confession but it had to be said...)
